Welcome to the Niles Scream Park Niles Scream Park

We have a Photo Kiosk where souvenir pictures can be purchased after we take them. You can take pictures with your cellphone camera in the midway, but everywhere else on the property is prohibited. If you have trouble walking, walk with a cane or have knee/hip/ankle issues, please be aware that there are areas where the ground is uneven, the floors move and passages are very narrow. It may be difficult for you to navigate these areas. For your safety, the use of crutches or canes is not allowed in any of the attractions. It is very important that you have proper footwear to go through our attractions to keep you safe!

Niles Scream Park

This particular attraction scored a higher rating than the Cursed Crusade because there were more live actors in The Basement, instead of pop up animatronics that are not all that terrifying. The highlight has to be toward the end, when an actor, who was a part of the midway, made his way into the attraction, pretending to be a statue in a corner. The scare factor for this attraction is an easy 7/10.

We request that you PRINT or SCREENSHOT all of your tickets to streamline admission to each attraction. We can also scan from a mobile device, but it takes longer and slows everything down. Please have your mobile device out, ready and with the brightness fully up for redemption as you approach each attraction ticket scanner. If you’re going to use a mobile device, you’re STRONGLY encouraged to “screenshot” the barcodes or QR codes that were sent to you. On busy nights, the cellular tower next door that every service plan is connected to will be “bogged” down and it will cause very slow connection speeds as you try to present your tickets. If you’re not ready at each attraction entrance, you will be asked to step aside to allow the next person/group to enter until you’re ready.

Probably “that tramp” ghost that lives here,” said Gail Klauer, 70, a retired chief of staff for a Yolo County supervisor, who was there with her wife, Terri LeDoux, a retired jail commander. Sipping their vodka on the Niles’ second-floor landing in glasses brought from home, the women pointed to the old portraits on the walls, making up names and stories about each of them. They hadn’t heard it while they walked the halls. For years, Mohr has played bridge with girlfriends in the Niles Hotel lobby every week, sitting by the big picture windows, watching people walk by.

Almost all of the displays and routes change every year. We do not feel the need to splatter everything with blood and guts. That being said, the attractions do have some intense scenes, but we try to get your adrenaline flowing without excessive use of gore.

The ratio of actors to animatronic figures was low. ONLY VALID ON SUNDAYS (OCTOBER 8TH | 15TH | 22ND). This deal is ONLY offered ONLINE through our timed ticketing reservation system. Use Promo Code “SUNDAYSLASHER” to initiate the deal for either the regular Frightful Nightful Combo Ticket or the Frightful Nightful Plus Combo Ticket. The second floor houses a Theater Room Museum where distinct outlines of sleeping bodies have been found in the dust on the beds — sightings that have been attributed to a former chambermaid. In the downstairs bar, spirits often lift money off the bar and raise glasses into the air.

The Scream Park is not liable for any damage to your personal wheelchair and will provide an alternate wheelchair if you are concerned your chair will be damaged. Please note that oversized and motorized wheelchairs are prohibited. In 1998, the Niles Haunted House relocated to its present location on Mayflower Road. The Niles Haunted House, however, remains the feature attraction of the Scream Park. The Field of Screams was the most terrifying and time-consuming attraction in the park. From the moment one enters, they are greeted with frights and scares.

Alongside the famous burros roaming the area, the Oatman Hotel is one of the best-known buildings in the small town along Route 66. The hotel was originally built in 1902 and survived three major fires that nearly destroyed the town over the course of just a few years. Today, the Oatman Hotel is a well-known destination for paranormal enthusiasts and welcomes curious visitors from far and wide. The spirits of former staff, famous guests, pets and more are reported to still roam the halls and interact with guests. But luckily for today's visitors, most of the spirits are reported to be friendly.

Tensions rise and trust fractures, you soon realize that you all will not make it out alive. In a desperate race against time, you must fight to uncover the crypt’s secrets before you become its next victim, discovering too late that some doors are better left closed. While the hotel no longer provides overnight accommodations for guests, visitors can still enjoy a bar and restaurant on the ground floor and a museum on the upper floors. The Jerome Grand Hotel is a well-known hotspot for alleged paranormal encounters with frequent visits from ghost hunters and other enthusiasts looking for proof ghosts exist.

Up in Alturas — where the town motto is “Where the West Still Lives” — the three-story Niles Hotel is the beating heart of a Main Street lined with empty storefronts. Muir, originally from Florida, moved to Weaverville with her husband, Brian, in 1996, so he could work for a gold mine. They bought the hotel in 2002 and spent two years carefully renovating it, maxing out their credit cards and borrowing against their life insurance. The hotel is a jewel of Weaverville’s Gold Rush-era Main Street, also home to the Nugget Restaurant and the Diggins pub. In mountainous Trinity County — where timber crashed and legal marijuana is now doing the same — boosters are working hard to draw tourists. Among the redwoods in Humboldt County, there’s the Scotia Lodge.

He’s talked to male guests who said the ghost rubbed their backs. After some recent construction work, he said, there’s been a lot of “strange activity” — things turning up in different places, doors opening on their own, places that suddenly feel cold. Unlike the Weaverville’s owners, Cavasso welcomes the paranormal investigators who visit with their ghost-hunting equipment. Cavasso said that, at one point, his wife, Elizabeth — a Modoc County supervisor and longtime wildland firefighter — was working on the third floor and saw a ghostly visage. In proud but struggling little communities throughout rural Northern California, grand old hotels hark back to when these places were booming Gold Rush towns, timber towns and cow towns. Often lovingly restored, the lodgings invoke a certain nostalgia for more prosperous days and hope for a brighter future.

Two final “black-out” nights will be hosted from 7 to 10 p.m. What begins as a thrilling exploration quickly transcends into a nightmarish struggle for survival as your group find themselves hunted by malevolent forces from beyond the grave. Trapped within the crypt’s cursed walls, you must confront their deepest fears and unravel the crypt’s dark history.

Too many jerks like to use their lighters in dark places, so they are banned too. Over the years, we have built quite a stock pile of things that people lost in the house. We will not be responsible for expensive electrical equipment and we do not want to shut down operations to look for them when you drop them out of your pocket. Therefore, leave all cameras, knives, guns, lighters, vapes (e-cigarettes), alcohol, chemicals and profanity in your cars. The attraction is staffed by volunteers from more than 65 area non-profit groups.
